Central Europe Touring
Abundant Performance Opportunities
Saul Charlesworth World Projects' Project Manager

Central Europe, located in the heart of continental Europe, has a rich history and offers touring music ensembles many performance opportunities in historic venues. Encompassing countries including Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and more, the options for a custom tour itinerary are almost endless.

Performance opportunities abound in Central Europe. First-class professional concert halls, university and cultural center venues, churches and cathedrals, and picturesque outdoor venues provide a wealth of performance settings for all types of musical ensembles.

A popular Central European tour itinerary will include Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest and Prague. Each of these cities has its own unique history and has been home some of the finest composers in history such as Mozart, Haydn, Schoenberg, Liszt, Bartok and many more.

Starting the tour in Prague, groups will have the opportunity to explore the historic Old Town and of course, Prague Castle. During the summer, outdoor performances in nearby spa towns provide a wonderful setting and large audiences.

Continuing on to Salzburg, Austria, groups can perform in a variety of venues from more formal churches and halls to Mirabell Gardens, a picturesque setting for an outdoor concert. There will also be an opportunity to visit Getreidegasse no. 9, Mozart’s birthplace, and other sights including the Cathedral and St. Peter’s Abbey.

Moving on to Vienna, groups will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in music history, with visits to the Mozarthaus and State Opera House. Schönbrunn Palace can also play host to wonderful outdoor performances during the summer months.

Concluding the tour in Budapest, groups will enjoy a tour of the Hungarian capital which is actually two separate cities: historic, beautiful Buda and bustling, lively Pest. See Hero’s Square, the Basilica and the Danube Embankment with a splendid view of the city. Visit Fisherman’s Bastion which offers unrivalled views of the stunning Gothic Parliament Building. Groups who attend the Budapest International Music Festival will also have the opportunity to perform in the stunning Bela Bartok National Concert Hall at the Palace of Arts.

As well as performance setup and promotion, World Projects will also handle all of your air and ground arrangements including hotels, meals, transportation, experienced local guides and sightseeing.
